On February 2, 2017, The Manila Bulletin celebrates its 117th Anniversary. The event started with a prayer followed by national anthem and a message from the Chairman.
Unfortunately, we didn't stay long, so we weren't able to taste all the food, hihi.
Luckily, we were able to take some pictures before the program started.
Feast your eyes ;)

We got to enjoy the beauty of this beach for free thanks to Alta Vista de Boracay. They offer a free ride to Puka Beach to their guests. It is a 7-minute drive from Alta Vista de Boracay to Puka Beach. Alta Vista has a private beach front there, lined with cabanas, which are free to use by their guests. They also have attendants there to guide and assist you. Fresh towels are also provided. Hmmm.. Thank you, Alta Vista! Puka Beach is a 20-minute ride from the White Beach. They said it is named after the Puka shells, which you can find scattered along its white sands. When we were there (February 5, 2018), we were not able to swim because of the big waves. There is also a warning sign icon that shows the danger of a strong current. The waves here are also white and foamy. Sand is grainier in the shoreline because of small bits of shells mixed in with it, but a little farther it can be powdery. There are also vendors who are selling accessories and home decor
Montebello Villa Hotel is located amidst the active metropolis of Cebu, just behind Gaisano Country Mall , a 4-minute walk away. The hotel maintains its low-rise buildings, surrounded by greenery. We just came from our Bantayan Island escapade when we checked in at this hotel. It was an almost 6-hour trip from the island itself. We rode a ferry from Santa Fe Port to Hagnaya Port , and from there, we were able to find a van bound to Cebu North Bus Terminal and finally rode a taxi to the hotel. We were greeted with their refreshing welcome drink, a delightful concoction of what seems to be ginger and lemon grass. Staff greets us all the time. They were accommodating and helpful. My husband booked the Superior Room , which is a blend of traditional Filipino and Hispanic style . It has a private balcony and bathtub. We paid an additional fee of P1,200 for extra head. Personally, I really don't like our hotel room because it is kind of outdated , even the hallw
Mango Bene - P198/slice (all-time favorite) We have been to Trinoma, SM North, SM Sta. Mesa and SM Aura branches, and it is still the same feel-at-home vibe . Ambiance is very relaxing , homey and cozy . Servers are always friendly and accommodating. Mary Grace offers a wide selection of pastries and cakes, but they are best known for their ensaymadas. I have tried their ensaymada and cheese rolls , both classic and grilled, but I must say I am not a fan of it. They are tasty, but not the best. We are going gaga over Mary Grace hot chocolate. It is very rich , creamy , decadent and heart warming . This is definitely a must try. This is the kind of drink that brings back pleasant memories and lifts your spirit. You will find yourself smiling while sipping this hot chocolate (though the serving is insanely minuscule). We also tried their peppermint hot chocolate , but it is not quite as good.
