On February 2, 2017, The Manila Bulletin celebrates its 117th Anniversary. The event started with a prayer followed by national anthem and a message from the Chairman.
Unfortunately, we didn't stay long, so we weren't able to taste all the food, hihi.
Luckily, we were able to take some pictures before the program started.
Feast your eyes ;)

This is actually a very late post. We were here last October of 2019; hence, some buildings were still under construction. We arrived at around 3pm, but were told that they were still cleaning the villa so we waited at the reception area and/or Reef 'n Beef. At around 4 pm, our villa was ready and so we went. We were in awestruck with the villa. Every corner was instagrammable. The chic Moroccan-inspired living room was impressive with its perfectly whitewashed walls and the potted greenery creates that outdoor feel. We stayed in their one-bedroom beach villa. Bantayan Island is our second stop during this Malapascua-Bantayan- Cebu escapade to celebrate the month of love (Feb 2017). We stayed at Anika Island Resort , which from what we could tell is one of the best hotels in the small island. Great scenery , but by night time, the wind was howling and the sand is blown everywhere and can accidentally get to our eyes. We paid P2,252.71 (breakfast included, not buffet) via Expedia , but was asked to pay extra for the third pax. We got to enjoy the center of the island as well, but we had to cut short our stay the following day because of the incoming bad weather with the last ferry leaving the island at 9:30am. We were supposed to check out at 12 noon. So, after breakfast, we packed our things. It was kinda sad. The resort staff are courteous and very helpful. The driver of the van even bought the ferry tickets for us. They even contacted us the day before our stay to coordinate the time of pic...
We got to enjoy the beauty of this beach for free thanks to Alta Vista de Boracay. They offer a free ride to Puka Beach to their guests. It is a 7-minute drive from Alta Vista de Boracay to Puka Beach. Alta Vista has a private beach front there, lined with cabanas, which are free to use by their guests. They also have attendants there to guide and assist you. Fresh towels are also provided. Hmmm.. Thank you, Alta Vista! Puka Beach is a 20-minute ride from the White Beach. They said it is named after the Puka shells, which you can find scattered along its white sands. When we were there (February 5, 2018), we were not able to swim because of the big waves. There is also a warning sign icon that shows the danger of a strong current. The waves here are also white and foamy. Sand is grainier in the shoreline because of small bits of shells mixed in with it, but a little farther it can be powdery. There are also vendor...
