THE BIG BANQUET 5: A delectable feast from Manila's Top Caterers!

My husband and I are food lovers. We love buffets.
It was our first time to attend The Big Banquet, which was held at The Blue Leaf Events Pavilion, March 26, 2017, Sunday, for 600php per person.
Because we were early, we strolled around Venice Grand Canal first. But since it was Sunday, the place was jammed with people. Di kami nakakuha ng pang profile pic, charot!

Okay, let's go to The Blue Leaf. Last 2011, dito hi-neld ung Christmas Party namin sa office, but I have a vague memory of the place. Ganda ng CR, mga bes, hehe.. I took some pictures..

Appetizer: Shrimp and Capsicum Vinaigrette
Main Dish: Honey Garlic Oven Baked Barbecued Belly with Parmesan Chili Lime Corn on the Cob and Baked Creamy Sour Cream Potatoes
Summer/Cocktail Drink: Iced Honey Citron
Dessert: Baked Apple Crisps

Yummy! Tender beef and creamy mashed potatoes. Almost all of the entrees have mashed potatoes, but this one is perfect of them all, hehe.

#3 JOSIAH'S
Appetizer: Smoked Salmon and Fig Tart with Arugula Pesto
Main Dish: Cabarnet Braised Beef with Vegetables and Roasted Garlic Mashed Potato
Summer/Cocktail Drink: Ocean Bliss
Dessert: Assorted Petite Fours

Hindi kami nasarapan sa main dish and appetizer, but bawi sa dessert, four kinds. That's why it's called Assorted Petite Fours, hehe

#4 BIZU (Overall Winner, Best Appetizer, Best Signature Drink, Best Setup)

BIZU maintains their winning streak as the best caterer in Manila for the 5th time!
Appetizer: Smoked Salmon and Caviar / Scream
Main Dish: French Burger and Ham Fries
Summer/Cocktail Drink: Wonderland
Dessert: Lady Gaga

Di namin naabutan ung Ham Fries, but thankful narin na nakaabot pa ko sa main dish, drink and dessert dahil last 20 na lang ung bibigyan nila by the time na pumila ako sa booth nila.

Dessert! This one is so yummy, but I wasn't able to finish it kasi sobrang umay na ko sa mga nakain ko, haha.. And medyo nakakaumay din kasi ung white part, but I love it because of nuts and may ice cream din sa loob.

#6 THE RED CHEF

Main Dish: Smoked Pork Pineapple Belly
Summer/Cocktail Drink: Chasing Summer
Dessert: Fruity Cheesecake

I'll be honest, ang nagustuhan ko lang dito is yung Smoked Pork Pineapple Belly pero medyo sira na ung pineapple, like parang panis na. I'm a cheesecake lover, but I don't find this delectable.


#7 THE CREAMERY CATERING  (Best Dessert)

Appetizer: Nori Chips with Salmon Poke Cubes, Spicy Slaw and Crispy Salmon Skin
Main Dish: Slow Roasted Beef with Potatoes Dauphinoise, Mushrooms, and Pan Gravy
Summer/Cocktail Drink: The Creamery Signature
Dessert: Apple Streusel with Popcorn Shaved Ice

Dessert: Taro Pearls in Coconut Cream
******Di namin napuntahan to, nasusuka na kami sa sobrang kabusugan, hehe.

Sayang ung ibang food, yummy sana pero sa sobrang kabusugan halos di na nagagalaw.

Hindi na namin natapos ung event, umuwi na kami agad pagkatapos chumibog, hihi, sumama pakiramdam ni hubby.


Hanggang dito na lang muna mga bes.
